On the site of the Oldest British Brewery in continuous operation, stands a large house which was built in or around 1800.
The RAM Brewery has been brewing beer at this location since 1581, and in 1831 the Brewery was sold to Young & Co. who remained the owners of the Brewery until it was sold to the new owners Young and Co. One of the Young family members moved into a large house on the site and remained occupied by the Family until 2006 when the last Family member John Young passed away. The site was sold to Greenland Developments in 2019 to be developed into Luxury Apartments. The majority of the site including the Brewery were demolished but the original housed was retained due to it being a listed building.
Greenland made the decision to convert the house into their London Headquarters and Greenland contracted with our Company to sympathetically refurbish the house at the same time installing state of the IT systems with full Air Conditioning and New High End Welfare facilities for the staff.
The project was completed on time to the satisfaction of all interested parties including the Conservation Office of London Borough of Wandsworth.
